Para preguntar se da la vuelta: Is there…? / Are there…?

5Haz la pregunta y contesta: «a park / near your house» (sí) · «sharks / in the river» (no).

¿Qué significa there is y there are?

Las dos significan «hay». En español decimos «hay» tanto para una cosa como para muchas, pero en inglés cambia: there is para una y there are para varias.

¿Se puede decir «there’s»?

Sí: there’s es la forma corta de there is, y es muy común al hablar: There’s a cat. De there are no se usa forma corta al escribir.
